Likes: Journaling, purple, helping others transform their mindset, time in nature, traveling, podcasts, wine, sunflowers, and moments that invoke reflection and evolution
Dislikes: Stagnation, closed mindedness, negativity, long wait times, and people who lack compassion
Ebony was born in a big family of 8 siblings in New Orleans, La. She left New Orleans in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina and never looked back once she settled in to Houston, TX. Ebony is no stranger to trauma which is why she has made it her life's gift and purpose to assist others in living the lifestyle they truly deserve. After her own personal battles of trauma throughout childhood, Ebony 's vow was to advocate for the voiceless by being a beacon of light and hope for those that are always praying for a better tomorrow. After graduating with her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from UT Arlington, Ebony began to pursue volunteer opportunities to assist young children and families in maintaining a sense of normalcy after experiencing trauma. Ebony has participated in numerous youth groups, conferences, nonprofit organizations, and community events that are all centered around community education and support. When Ebony is not at work as a Critical Care Nurse she can be found hanging out with her Husband Brian and three handsome sons (Quest, Khalid, and Zahid), enjoying a day of legos, dinosaurs, ninjas, karate, and frozen yogurt.
The mission of National Angels is what encouraged Ebony to take part in the organization, and in a constant effort to teach others about the effects of trauma, grief, and loss, Ebony became the Director of Program Development for its Houston chapter. She is interested in learning and teaching more about Trauma Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and holistic care of the entire family.
