Host a build-a-box event or a donation drive
Build-a-box events offer an opportunity to educate your employees, group or church on the foster care crisis, the needs in our local community, and the steps each of us can take to create change right where we are. We believe that every child should have the opportunity to reach their fullest potential in life, regardless of their start - and that everyone can play a role in impacting a child's life.
We could not do the work that we do without the many businesses and organizations that come together to support the precious children and families that we serve.
What happens at a Build-A-Box event?
☆ A presentation from our team describing the foster care crisis and statistics across Greater Houston
☆ An overview of Houston Angels' mission and programs and the variety of ways to get involved
☆ An engagement activity to assemble and decorate Love Boxes for the children and families in our programs and on our waitlist
☆ Follow up: Houston Angels will share photos and updates with your group regarding the impact of their support

To host a build a box event, sign up at the link below for your preferred month for your event!
There are three options for gathering items/supplies for the boxes:
1) your group can host a donation drive for items for the boxes
(we provide the wishlist but your team would be responsible for ALL supplies!)
OR
2) your group can donate the funds for our team to gather the Love Box supplies and bring to your event for assembly
OR
3) Do a mix of both! Host a supplies drive for items and make a donation to cover the rest!
Note: The estimated cost per box is $100-200 depending on family size. If you are working with a set budget,
please let us know, and we will coordinate how many families your budget will be able to support with Love Boxes.
